A Declaration of Trust confirms how an asset, for example a property, is to be held on trust. The property owner can hold a property on trust for themselves (as beneficial owners), or they may hold the property on trust for someone else.
Where the asset is a property, it will usually also deal with the portion of ownership of the property, as well as any other terms the parties wish to agree.
